My Dogs and Our First Experience with Snow here in Nevada City

Remember a the beginning of this blog that the reason we moved to Nevada City was because Ivan died and we would never have another dog...Well the dog part changed after a couple of years...

We now have Max and Diva. How they came into our lives ~ one at a time ~ is a long, long story. Diva was a "sign" and at first we thought that Ivan had reincarnated (They're both Sagittarians; the "i-v-a" in their names; both American Eskimos; and the fact that Diva ran over to us as we stood on the sidelines of AKC dog show [Show dogs NEVER break away from their trainers in the ring!]).
And, once again, it was my birthday. Just like when Gerhardt got Ivan for me so many years ago. So, Diva the Darling became part of our family.

Max came along a year and a half ago when Diva became lonely. Every week we took her to the shelter so she could pick her friend and Max is who she chose. Max is a Maremma and when we got him little did we know that his breed really isn't a pet. He's a guard dog. We've had our "challenges" with him! Bottom line is that we love him and he loves us (too much!). Our entire family is his pack and no one else. That means no one.

Anyway, we love them to pieces.
Now that it's winter here in Nevada City and it was our first snow, we took a zillion photos during the Holidays. They've been circling around me while I'm on the computer this morning, so the morning is dedicated to them!

Well, I tried for HOURS to download a little movie of Max and Diva in the snow (along with a soundtrack ~ me singing!) but there is something major wrong with either my computer or software because it tried and tried and didn't and then I couldn't cancel it and then and then I just shut everything down!

The end.
